<p>I hesitate to criticise Sustrans because I know that they are good  people, with an excellent idea — the National Cycle Network — and  because they make delightful cycle routes when they are given sufficient  money to do so.  I don’t want to harm Sustrans, I want them to do more,  and I want them to be able to do it properly, with proper funding.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Way back at the start of October we <a href="http://waronthemotorist.wordpress.com/2010/10/03/participatory-democracy/">mentioned</a> that the London Authority’s transport committee were seeking your views  on the hire bikes and the two trial cycle superhighways.  <a href="http://www.london.gov.uk/publication/pedal-power">The results are in</a>,  and we must have had a massive influence because the results seem to  match what we were saying.  It is of course possible that everybody else  independently came to same conclusions as us, but we prefer to think  that it was <em>AWWTM</em> what won it.</p>

<blockquote><p>“TfL said the routes are simply not being used frequently enough to warrant separation of traffic.”</p></blockquote>
<p>and,</p>
<blockquote><p>Boris, when asked why the Superhighways are not segregated, always says “There is just not room on London’s roads”.</p></blockquote>
