Scenes from the Cumberland Basin Road system

Why is there an advertising van, promoting patios and driveways, abandoned on the Cumberland Basin road system?

How long has it been there? It has the look of something that has been abandoned there for a long time with nobody doing anything about it.

Is it supposed to be there? Did the council sanction it, or do they not just care?

I dropped by yesterday evening, once the temperature was cool enough to venture out, to capture a few more pictures before the whole dirty, noisy mess eventually gets cleared away by the impending regeneration. Some of the light trails also tell an interesting tale of what happens when you text and drive — or perhaps, what happens when you stare confused at your satnav all through a complex tangled grade separated intersection.

As always, these photos and more on my Bristol photography site.

New housing rising beside a trunk bus route, with the Somerset green belt in the distance.
